February turned out to be a very busy month, leaving me no time for blogging yet again. I had the opportunity to do many fun things, including teaching a nail art class, so here is a nail inspiration post full of nail art ideas.

Black and silver gradation with Anna Sui #003 nail polish
Hello everyone ^_^/
A quick post today as I am quite busy but I wanted to show you this black x silver gradation mani as soon as possible. But first, as you must have noticed, my giveaway is closed since Monday. I have already started verifying the entries and will announce the winner by the end of the week :)
Now on to the nails. I used a nail polish I really like, Anna Sui #003 (black with silver glitter) and for the gradient effect I used Savvy Brownie #4, a silver glitter.

Stars on silver, my first mani for 2012
Hello everyone ^_^/
This is something I should have posted earlier, as it is the first mani of the year.
One of my resolutions for 2012 is to use up as many of my beauty products as I can. That includes of course nail polishes and nail art supplies. I have a tendency to collect nail art stickers and to never use them because they are so cute. This has to change, so for this year I vowed to use as many as I can.
Putting that into effect here are the nails I did for the New Year. My theme was metal and stars.
Here is what I used.
My base colours were Stargazer silver chrome (which happens to be my first metallic nail polish, I have this bottle for over 10 years) and Models Own Thunder & Lightning. Then I added purple and black star decals and Models Own Purple Haze!
When I first took out all the bottles, I wasn't sure of the end result but my nails ended up looking fabulous and sparkly, so I can say the experiment was a success.
Now let's see how many nail polishes and nail decals will I be able to use up during the year XD

NARS Night Series
Hello everyone ^_^/
Just two weeks are left for Christmas so I did a bit of holiday shopping. One of the top items on my wishlist was the whole NARS Night Series collection. I love the Night Series eyeshadows and have collected almost all of them over the years so as soon as I saw the eyeshadow palette and nail polishes I knew they had to be mine.
I was so excited when the package arrived!
Here is what was inside. The NARS Night Series Eyeshadow Palette and two nail polishes, Night Breed, a black creme with silver glitter, and Night Rider, a sparkly glittery light purple.
I am so in love with these two nail polishes right now <3
So of course I had to wear them on the spot. Application was perfect, as expected of NARS nail polishes, and you would be pleased to know that these are one coaters! I still applied two coats but one would have been just fine.
After wearing my nails like this for a couple of days, I wanted to spice them up a bit so I did a drip design using the same colours.
What do you think of this collection? Will you be getting anything from it? Are you a fan of NARS in general?

Anna Sui gothic roses nails
Hello everyone ^_^/
Today I have a very special manicure to show you. This is my favourite style on nails. Dark colours, roses and lots of glitter. Plus a lovely rose scent.
I present to you my Anna Sui gothic roses manicure.
Here is what I used.
Anna Sui #110 a lovely black polish with silver glitter
Anna Sui #300 a pink chunky glitter polish
Seche Vite base and top coat
Rose nail decals
First I applied two coats of Anna Sui 110
This is my go to nail polish when I need a quick glamorous manicure. Unfortunately this exact colour has been discontinued and this is my last bottle so I use it sparingly.
Then I added the nail decals and glitter. I sealed everything with Seche Vite top coat and my nails were ready!
Do you like wearing dark colours on your nails? Or do you find them too gothic?

My Pink Halloween manicure
Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!
Today I have a manicure to show you that I was saving especially for today, as it turned out to be my favourite Halloween mani. Wanting to escape the usual colours I decided to use black and magenta instead ^_^
The nail polishes I used were Sally Hansen Black Out, Etude House LudiDarling Shimmering Magenta Pink and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia. I also used some Pa nail stickers that I got in Japan a while ago.
Please excuse the tip wear. I took the photos on the third day I had this one. Sadly this mani didn't last as much as my other ones, which was a bit disappointing.
Here is a thumb detail. I really liked the black kitties ^_^
Do you like this colour combination for Halloween? What I enjoyed most on this mani was the way the Kleancolor holo looked layered over the other colours. Especially in the sunlight it was fabulous!
I am going to close this post with a photo of my favourite location for Halloween, Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.
This photo was taken on the top of the Mori tower and you can even see Tokyo tower in the back.

Easy nails for Halloween
Hello everyone ^_^/
I have been meaning to make this post earlier in the week but I couldn't find the time, but finally here it is ^_^
I want to show you a couple of very simple Halloween manis, perfect for those who don't have enough time, like me.
The first one is a black and orange polka dot manicure. Very easy to achieve with a dotting tool or a toothpick.
I reversed the colours for an accent finger, to make this a little more fun. I used the orange Claire's nail polish I got from Moni and Sally Hansen's Black Out.
Even though it is a simple manicure, it is quite fun.
For the second one I wanted to use some of the fabulous Halloween polishes from China Glaze. So I started with two coats of It's Alive, a fantastic green glitter.
Then on some nails I drew stitches with black nail polish and on some nails I applied China Glaze Black Mesh. And here is the final result.
What do you think about these? Do you paint your nails in seasonal themes or just go with whatever you like?
I hope I can find time to do a more full on Halloween mani, as I have many ideas in my head. Let's see how that works out XD
For the time being don't forget to enter my running giveaway for a chance to win two Seventeen nail polishes.

New Glitter Gal holographic colours
Hello everyone ^_^/
I have been absent from the blog for a while as I went on a much needed vacation.
But I haven't been neglecting my nails. Quite the contrary!
Since I went to the sea, I decided to try out the new Glitter Gal holographic colours that my dear 'Chelle sent me. The weather was really good and sunny so it was perfect for trying them out and snapping some photos.
So without further ado I present to you Glitter Gal's Light As a Feather and Lizard Belly (as seen from left to right on the above photo).
I am always impressed by Glitter Gal's fantastic nail polishes as they are always top quality and these two didn't disappoint me at all. I applied 3 layers and a coat of Seche Vite on top.
Here is a bonus shot under artificial light, holding my favourite Kuromi water bottle which is holographic too ^_^
What do you think of these, dear readers? Have you tried this brand before?
If you are a holo freak like me, I suggest you give Glitter Gal a go. You won't be disappointed.

I wear my Sunglasses at night...
So I can, so I can... watch you weave then breathe your storylines ♫♪
Does anyone remember this song from the 80s?
It is one of my favourites so when I found out there is a nail polish with the same name by Catrice, I just had to get my hands on it.
I was so very excited to try it, that I didn't do anything else to it.
And oh boy, was I disappointed!
You see, it's a classic case of nail polish that looks fantastic in the bottle but not so much on the nails.
In the bottle it's a lovely black full of pink and teal glitter.
On the nail, as you can see, it looks plain black, even under the brightest light.
The application and formula were perfect in two coats (plus Seche). I only wish the glitter would show up. Also this colour reminds me of a Japanese nail polish I have which is almost exactly the same. I need to dig it out and do a comparison.
I do apologise for the tipwear. As I was quite disappointed I took these photos 4 days after applying this polish, that's why my nails look like this.
Wanting to give "I wear my Sunglasses at night" one more chance, I decided to try making a nail polish ring.
And yes, it is much better. You can see all the pretty glitter perfectly. This is a nightime photo that I just took but I will update this post with daytime photos asap, so you can see the colour in its full glory.
And I will close this post with my favourite version of the song that shares a name with this polish!

I'm back and this is my Easter manicure!
Hello everyone ^_^/
How was your Easter weekend?
I am back from my vacation in beautiful Vienna where I had a fantastic time.
I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
But first things first, let me share with you my Easter manicure.
Now it had no obvious Easter elements like bunnies or eggs but I still somehow feel it fit the Easter theme.
It was so shiny that my camera had trouble capturing it at first.
Here is what I used.
Catherine Arley holographic polish #666
Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance
BarryM Instant Nail Effects in Black Magic
Art Deco nail striper in black with silver glitter
NfuOh Aqua Base
Seche Vite top coat
The mani managed to make it through travelling and carrying suitcases around just fine which is always a plus.
Also as my friend Ria kept pestering me I decided to join bloglovin'.
So Follow my blog with bloglovin if you want ^_^
And I will close this post with a couple of photos from Schönbrunn Palace
In the first one you can see Vienna in the back with St.Stephen's Cathedral and the second one is a panoramic shot of the Palace and the gardens. Each photo is clickable if you want a bigger view.
Do you like these photos of the palace? I always take a lot of photos when I travel and I have a huge collection. Would you be interested in seeing some of them in this blog from time to time?
Let me know ^_^

Eyeko Portobello Lipgloss and Vampira Nail Polish
Hello everyone ^_^/
this is a quick post before I run out to see my favourite band, Paradise Lost, live.
A few weeks ago someone used my Eyeko ambassador code for the first time so last week I received a lovely gift pack including an Eyeko London Lips Lip Gloss in Portobello, a lovely sheer baby pink with gold shimmer! Thank you so much to the lovely ladies who used my code and also to Eyeko for sending me this awesome gift pack ^_^
I was really excited as I love the colour. It's a very pretty colour, perfect to wear everyday and it has a lovely smell too! I tried photographing it on myself but failed miserably, so my lovely friend T. kindly offered to model it so I can take a decent photo to show you guys!
Doesn't it look fabulous? She fell in love with the colour!
Also as I am going to a metal live today, I wanted to paint my nails in a colour that would match my mood and outfit. For this reason I chose the Eyeko Vampira nail polish. A lovely black nail polish full of dark red shimmer! Application was perfect and I had full coverage with two coats. Added a coat of Seche on top for extra shine and I'm ready to go!
Hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday <3
If you are interested in trying out these lovely products you can use my ambassador code E10053 or just click on the banner on the left.
From all sales made this week an amount will be donated to the Japanese earthquake relief fund.

My V-Day mani
Hello everyone ^_^/
this is a late and quick post.
Today I will share with you my Valentine's day mani.
Generally I am not a big fan of the day as both my darling and me feel that when you love someone you need to show it and celebrate it everyday and not just once a year. But I did a quick mani anyway.
The base was I love my jeans by Essence, with a coat of NfuOh 48 on top and some heart shaped nail decals.
Quick and easy. It came out cute but didn't even last 12 hours :o (please excuse the smudging on the pics, I didn't have time to do proper clean up).
On another note I would like to apologise for not being so active with blogging but February is being really insane and things are not expected to calm down before the beginning of March. I am quite behind on my reading and commenting but I try to catch up as often as I can.
I am flying out to lovely Budapest in a few hours and will try to blog from there too but I have a couple of scheduled posts coming up that I hope you enjoy (hope they work this time).
Have a fabulous weekend everyone <3

a-england, a new nail polish brand
Hello everyone ^_^
how are you all today? I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Today I have something new to share with you all.
A new nail polish brand named a-england.
A few days ago I got an email informing me of this new brand so of course I had to check it out immediately.
Taking a look at their website I was impressed by their collection, called the Mythicals. I loved everything about it, from the colour selection to the names, so since I had some money from Christmas, I decided to place an order and check them out.
I had a really hard time deciding on the colours but in the end I decided to go for the two holographic colours (you must know by now how much I love holo polishes) Lady of the Lake and Tristam and also for Camelot a luscious black colour and Morgan Le Fay, a sheer glittery silver which looked perfect for layering.
A week after placing my order, my new polishes arrived neatly packaged.
I have to say that even though the pricing is a bit steep at £9.50 I am very impressed by the quality of these nail polishes. So here are some swatches for you to judge on your own.
From left to right we have Lady of the Lake(purple holo), Tristam (dark blue holo), Camelot (black creme), one coat of Morgan Le Fay layered over 2 coats of Camelot and Morgan Le Fay (glittery silver). All swatches except the layered one are two coats.
Here are the polishes on my nails too, to give you a better idea. The swatches on my hands are one coat each without base or top coat except for the layering.
From top to bottom we have Lady of the Lake, Tristam, one coat of Morgan Le Fay over a coat of Camelot and Camelot.
As you can see all the polishes except Morgan Le Fay are quite opaque with one coat. The formula was also very easy to work with and the polishes dried quite fast as well.
All in all I would recommend you give a-england a try. I will certainly be looking forward to more from them.
