Less than a week left for Halloween and spooky parties are in full swing. While trying to decide on my Halloween manicure, I turned to my trusted Japanese nail art magazines for nail inspiration and found lots of spooky and kawaii nail art ideas so I decided to share them in a new post.

Beetlejuice inspired gothic nail art
Wow, January is almost over and just now I managed to find some time to write a new post!
But since today is the Chinese New Year, may the year of the horse bring happiness, health and prosperity to everyone ^_^
So for my first post for 2014 I want to show you some gothic nail art, inspired by one of my favourite movies, Beetlejuice!

October nail inspiration, lace and freehand nail art tutorials
Hello everyone ^_^/
no October nail inspiration post would be complete without Halloween nail art. This time I was drawn to a fabulous dark lace nail design from the current issue of Nail Venus. Black lace on a grey background, with Swarovski crystals. Very elegant and perfect for a Vamp look.

My Pink Halloween manicure
Hello everyone and Happy Halloween!
Today I have a manicure to show you that I was saving especially for today, as it turned out to be my favourite Halloween mani. Wanting to escape the usual colours I decided to use black and magenta instead ^_^
The nail polishes I used were Sally Hansen Black Out, Etude House LudiDarling Shimmering Magenta Pink and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia. I also used some Pa nail stickers that I got in Japan a while ago.
Please excuse the tip wear. I took the photos on the third day I had this one. Sadly this mani didn't last as much as my other ones, which was a bit disappointing.
Here is a thumb detail. I really liked the black kitties ^_^
Do you like this colour combination for Halloween? What I enjoyed most on this mani was the way the Kleancolor holo looked layered over the other colours. Especially in the sunlight it was fabulous!
I am going to close this post with a photo of my favourite location for Halloween, Roppongi Hills in Tokyo.
This photo was taken on the top of the Mori tower and you can even see Tokyo tower in the back.

Easy nails for Halloween
Hello everyone ^_^/
I have been meaning to make this post earlier in the week but I couldn't find the time, but finally here it is ^_^
I want to show you a couple of very simple Halloween manis, perfect for those who don't have enough time, like me.
The first one is a black and orange polka dot manicure. Very easy to achieve with a dotting tool or a toothpick.
I reversed the colours for an accent finger, to make this a little more fun. I used the orange Claire's nail polish I got from Moni and Sally Hansen's Black Out.
Even though it is a simple manicure, it is quite fun.
For the second one I wanted to use some of the fabulous Halloween polishes from China Glaze. So I started with two coats of It's Alive, a fantastic green glitter.
Then on some nails I drew stitches with black nail polish and on some nails I applied China Glaze Black Mesh. And here is the final result.
What do you think about these? Do you paint your nails in seasonal themes or just go with whatever you like?
I hope I can find time to do a more full on Halloween mani, as I have many ideas in my head. Let's see how that works out XD
For the time being don't forget to enter my running giveaway for a chance to win two Seventeen nail polishes.

October nail inspiration, Halloween
Hello everyone ^_^/
October is one of my favourite months of the year for many reasons. The weather is finally getting bearable and of course we have Halloween. Even though we don't really have Halloween in Greece (we have the canrival which is much later) it is one of my favourite "holidays".
So this month's nail inspiration is Halloween themed.
Here are some interesting nail art designs from old Nail Max issues I have lying around in the house.
I love these Girls Rock themed nails. Especially the cherry one is to die for (must try this one asap).
And here are a couple of step by step Halloween nail art tutorials that are quite easy to achieve.
Do you like any of these nail art ideas? Will you try a Halloween themed manicure this year?
p.s. you can click on the pictures to see larger versions.
